Leslie Horwath died peacefully on April 7, 2014 at the age of 81 surrounded by his loved ones. Born on March 19, 1933 in Windsor, Ontario, his favourite past-times included polishing his new cars and walking. He was ordained on May 28, 1960 in London, Ontario and was the Chaplain of Knights of Columbus – Our Lady of Mount Carmel Council #13405, Chaplain of St. Vincent de Paul, and past Chaplain of the Ontario Society for Crippled Children in Windsor, Ontario. He was also the past Pastor of Tillsonburg, Stratford, Petrolia, Port Lambton, Windsor and Harrow. He is survived by sister-in-law Patricia (John) Horwath of Windsor; Sister Margaret (Grant) Faulkner of St. Thomas; Brothers Joe (Peggy) Horwath of Puce; Dennis (Joanne) Horwath of Puslinch; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Olga and Leslie Horwath, Brother John Horwath, brother-in-law Lu Van Bauwel and sister-in-law Jayne Horwath. Visitation will take place on Thursday, April 10, 2014 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Friday, April 11, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church (4401 Mount Royal Dr., Windsor). Prayers Friday evening at 7:00 p.m., followed by Knights of Columbus prayers at 7:30 p.m. On Saturday, April 12, 2014,  family and friends are invited to meet after 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church for the Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
