Sally Hollowell, beloved wife of Ray (2000), passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family in Windsor, Ontario.  She was predeceased by her parents Carl Harper Horne and Lillian Pearl (nee MacAloney) and her sisters Francis and Pearl. Sally is the loving mother of Fred and Deb (2010), Janice and David Kessler, Diane and Rob Graper and David and Karen.  She is the grandmother of Jennifer (Rod), Laurie, Brett (Vanessa), Sarah, Katie (Michael), Anna, David, Bryan (Kristy), Kyle, Elizabeth, Stefanie and Willie, great grandmother of Matthew and Greta. Sally worked at the Volunteer Aid Detachment (VAD) in Windsor, Ont. for the St. John Ambulance Corps during the war years.  Later, she became attached to the Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps.  She worked at Grace Hospital in Windsor on the Military Ward and was posted to the hospital at Trafalgar Street School in London, Ont.  Later, Sally worked at Crumlin Hospital in London.  It was there that she met Ray.  They were happily married for 54 years. Sally was a stay-at-home mom, always enjoying her children and their activities.  Our mom was always finding new hobbies – sewing, petit point, needlepoint, stained glass, millinery and many more. She spent many hours volunteering for the Cancer Society of Windsor.  She and Ray spent their retirement years travelling to many places in their motor home.  They enjoyed many winters in Texas. We would like to express our sincere thanks to the staff of Heron Terrace for their care.  At Sally’s request, there will be no funeral.  If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or to a charity of their choice. Arrangements entrusted to Families First 1065 Lauzon Rd. East Windsor, 519-969-5841. Share memories, photos or make a donation online at www.FamiliesFirst.ca
