Carole Elizabeth (Love) Hogan of Woodland Beach, Tiny Ontario – Passed away Friday April 12th, in her 77th year after a 7 month battle with Glioblastoma.  She was predeceased by husband and love of her life Don, in May 1996.  She was much loved and will be sadly missed by her sons; Wayne of Woodland Beach, Bradley of Concord, North Carolina and daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Bill Thurlow of Barrie. She was the extremely proud Grandma of Alex (Jen) and Victoria (Jeff) all of North   Carolina. She will be dearly missed by her brother Robert Massie, niece Tammy Carpenter both of St. Petersburg, Florida and aunt Lillian Lambert of Burlington, Ont. Carole will also be missed by many cousins, friends and many who were a great support to her and the family during this difficult journey.  Carole had such an intrepid spirit, great sense of humour and so appreciated the natural world around her. She loved, being outdoors, her pets, tending to her yard, and swimming in Georgian Bay near her home.  She spent many wonderful winter months in Cortez Florida, where often family would come together and great memories were made.  The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff and volunteers of Hospice Simcoe.  You all were so caring, compassionate and supportive to our Mother and to all of us. Thank you.  As per Carole`s wishes cremation has taken place and she will join Don in the Midhurst Cemetery at a private family ceremony at a later date. Cremation entrusted to Marshall W.
