91 years, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at the Sun Parlor Home in Leamington. Beloved wife of the late Morley (Spike) Hillier (1982). Loving mother of Marianne Pannunzio and husband Gabe, Pamela Salmoni and husband Alan, Kathy Arner and late husband Tom, Jim Hillier and wife Karen, Janis Arner and husband Brad. Cherished grandmother of Jason Pannunzio, Laura Johnston (Spencer), Elisa Way (Dave), Tom Salmoni (Krissy), Tyler Arner, Kyla, Meghan and Cole Hillier, Sarah, Jim, Lindsay, Maddie and Tyson Arner, and proud great grandmother of Marisa, Tori, Ella, Lucas, Jaden, Ryan and Daxton. Dear sister of Jack Roadhouse and Carol Barfoot. Predeceased by brother Charles Roadhouse. Special aunt to many nieces and nephews. Madeline’s true passion was being a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, knitting and cooking. She was an avid sports fan, especially baseball. Her favorite sports star was a handsome young third baseman, her beloved husband Spike. Madeline was a long standing member of the Peachland Rebekah Lodge. Special thanks to the nurses and staff on 2 West at the Sun Parlor Home, the staff at Erie Glen Manor as well as the staff at the Leamington Hospital for their dedication and compassionate care. Visiting at the Reid Funeral Home & Reception Centre, 14 Russell Street, Leamington (519-326-2631) Sunday 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Peachland Rebekah Lodge Service Sunday at 7 p.m. Funeral Service to celebrate Madeline’s life will be held at the funeral home on Monday, February 4, 2013 at 11 a.m. Interment at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery to follow.
