At her home, on Sunday, January 11, 2015, Janet Higham passed away at the age of 60. Beloved daughter of Betty Higham-Hardy (neé Roberts) and the late Ken Higham. Step-daughter of David Hardy. Loving sister of Stephen (Margaret) Higham, Catherine (Tony) White, and step-sister of Michael (Laura) Hardy and Dyanne (Hank) Taylor. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Survived by aunts and uncles from both Canada and the UK. Janet was born in Cheshire, England and came to Canada in 1966 at the young age of 12. She attended St. Clair High School and Lambton College. Janet loved sports; she played broomball, softball, soccer and also umpired. She spent her spare time volunteering with the Legion, Women’s Auxiliary, and Victim’s Services for many years. Janet will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Thursday, January 15, 2015 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Friday, January 16, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. Interment to follow in Lakeview Cemetery. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice or the Salvation Army (cheques only at the funeral home please).
