Herman-webLeonard Herman, of Ayton, passed away peacefully at the Residential Hospice of Grey Bruce, Owen Sound on Tuesday, January 28, 2014.   He was 79.

Born in Howick Township, to the late Alfred and Lorena (nee Dietz) Herman. Leonard was a Truck Driver for Wittich’s in Ayton as well as Westons and Hostess-Fritolay for many years.

Survived by loving wife Shirley (nee Gerhardt) Herman, children Ron Herman of Ayton, Wendy (Rob) Dahl of Kitchener, Dave (Sara) Herman of Ayton, Barb (Bob) Graham of Thornbury, precious grandchildren Curtis, Hailey, Hannah, Riley, Somer and Jack. Also survived by his sister Eileen Kyte of Durham and brothers Don (Vi) Herman of Walkerton, Neil (Jean) Herman of Stratford. Predeceased by his sisters Ruth (Vic) Reidt, Marie (Dennis) Loos and brother Ralph (Christine) Herman all of Clifford, brothers in law Leroy Kyte and Wayne (Doris) Gerhardt.

Visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 pm.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, February 01, 2014 at 1:00 pm, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Ayton.   Spring Interment in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Ayton.
