Vera HendersonPeacefully with her family at her side at Wentworth Lodge in Dundas, Vera passed away on January 21, 2014, in her 91st year.  Lifelong resident of Carlisle.  Beloved wife and best friend for 70 years of the late William Wilson ‘Bill’ (January 21, 2011).  Loving mother of Ruth Harper (John) and Sylvia Brown (Ron).  Adored grandma of Murray (Shelly), Rick, Patti (Dave), Doug (Dawn), Kelly (Dave), Tim (Nickey), Joanne (Dave), Debbie (Cam) and (Debra).  Dear great-grandmother of Morgan, Brock, Matthew, Meghan, Johnathon, Foster, Kaiti, Patrick, Mike, Samantha, Chris, Aaron, Emily, Liam, Matthew, Jessica, Jordan, Jarred  and Melissa.  Survived by her brother Mervyn McCartney and sister-in-law Vera McCartney.  Predeceased by her youngest daughter Helen, son-in-law George, grandson Brad, her parents Russell and Alma, and her siblings Lenore Page and Lee McCartney.  Family and friends will be received at KITCHING, STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME, 146 Mill St. N., Waterdown on Friday from 5-8 p.m. where a Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 11 a.m.  Reception to follow in the Family Centre.  Interment Carlisle United Church Cemetery.  To the entire staff at Wentworth Lodge, there are not enough words to convey our gratitude for your care, compassion and support.  You allowed mom and dad to take the downhill steps with peace, grace and dignity.  Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or St. James United Church (Directed to Sound System) would be appreciated by the family.  Please sign the Book of Condolence at www.kitchingsteepeandludwig.com
