Bernice Henderson of Chesley, passed away at Parkview Manor, Chesley on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 in her 95th year.
Bernice was born in Toronto and was the co-owner of Henderson Florist in Hanover with her husband Chuck until their retirement in 1989. In later years she was often seen at Sue’s flower shoppe visiting with the many customers all the day long. She leaves to mourn her loving daughter Susan Laver of Chesley. Cherished grandmother of Mark (Sara) Laver, Ken (Jen) Laver, Carl (Lisa) Kuhn, William Kuhn, Daria Robson, Rachael, Alecia and Quinn Henderson and Brittany, Warren and Chris Fisher. Bernice will be sadly missed by her fourteen great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Charles (Chuck), sons Howard and Charles Henderson, sisters Bertha, Lena, Gladys and Emma as well as parents, Fred and Mary (O’Hearn) Forth.
A memorial service celebrating Bernice’s life will be held at Rhody Family Funeral Home, Chesley on Friday, November 7, 2014 at 3 p.m. with visitation one hour prior, Terri-Ann Mattiasson, Celebrant. Inurnment in Chesley Cemetery.
Memorial donations to the Parkview Manor Resident’s Council would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
