HART Picture CroppedBorn November 4, 1933 in Dublin Ireland. Ian Caithness Hart died July 20, 2014, peacefully with his loving family by his side at Bluewater Health Palliative Care. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife and soul mate Donna, his sister Joan, his son Rodney (Debbie) Hart and daughter Heather (Scott) Cushing. He will also be missed by his six grandchildren: Kailey, Devon and Gannon Hart; and Spencer, Holly and Kate Cushing. Survived by his step-children Don (Carol) Piggott, Peggy (Gary) Scott, Debbie (John) Field and Kathy (Karl) Hennick. Also survived by his sister Joan (George) Dalrymple Co. of Steamboat Springs, Colorado, and brother Derek (Jacqueline) Hart in Dun Laoghaire, Dublin. Eleven step-grandchildren and eighteen step-great-grandchildren. Leaves behind seven nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Edwin James and Lillian Maude Hart, and brother Bruce, England. Ian immigrated from Ireland in 1953 to the city of Hamilton, Ontario. He worked as an accountant at Stelco Steel Company for many years. Ian also lived in London, Ontario while his children were educated. He moved to Sarnia and worked as a controller in finance at St. Joseph’s Hospital and retired from there. He was also treasurer at St. George’s Anglican Church (now All Saints) till present. His passion and love was choirs including Defasco Male Chorus, All Saints Church Choir, Georgian Singers and sang Many solos. Sports have been his passion since a very young age. He enjoyed his game of golf with his buddies and his wife Donna and family. Always ready to play a game of cards with Donna and friends. A musical celebration of life will be held at All Saints Anglican Church, 248 Vidal Street North at the corner of Vidal and Charlotte, on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. Arrangements entrusted to SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia.
