Peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Monday, November 17, 2014, at Bluewater Health, H. George Harrison has been reunited with his love Colleen. Loving father of Fraser Harrison (Tammy), Bonnie Hamilton (Jim), and Jeannette Fong (Angeline). Cherished grandfather of Michael, Bryce, the late Fraser Shane, Duncan (Terren) and Cameron (Aarynn). Treasured great-grandfather of Rein, Dylan and Calla. George was one of 5 children. He was a veteran of the Korean War where he was a chef. Some of his many accomplishments included being a Golden Glove Champion in boxing where he was selected to compete in the Olympics for professional boxing. George was Peace Band drummer and sang in the Salvation Army. He was a family oriented man and loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was married to Colleen for over 50 years. George was very involved in dinners, and proudly cooked and served for his community and his family. He also loved spending time at McDonald’s and reading the paper daily. Cremation has taken place. An interment of ashes will take place at Lakeview Cemetery, 1016 Colborne Road, Sarnia, on Thursday, November 20, 2014, at 3:00 p.m (meet at gates off of Colborne Road). Sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Diabetes Association or the charity of your choice (cheques only at the funeral home please).
