Alan “Al”, of London, passed away surrounded by his family at LHSC, Victoria Hospital on Monday, February 10, 2014, in his 75th year.  Husband of Noreen (nee Harris) Harris.  Father of Steve Harris (Shelley) of St. Thomas, Michelle Toth (Andy), and Jeff Harris, all of London.  Grandfather of Katie and Matthew Toth.  Also survived by in-laws, Grace Harris of Thedford, Bill and Sue Ann Harris, Judith M. Harris, all of St. Thomas, and Brian and Penny Harris of Chatham, as well as several nieces and nephews.  Al was predeceased by a granddaughter, Jennifer Harris (2003), and by three brothers, Ronald Harris (1944), Robert E. Harris (1996), and Donald Harris (1998) (late Kathleen “Kay”).  Born in Southwold Township, ON, January 25, 1940, he was the son of the late Elmer and Mary (nee McIntyre) Harris.  Al was a retired Assistant Director of the Men’s Mission, London. He was a member of Agape Fellowship, London.  Al was a former fastball player in Port Stanley and played on the 1963 Ontario Champions, the Western Colts Fastball Team, St. Thomas.  The funeral service will be held at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160) on Friday, February 14th at 11:00 a.m.  Relatives and friends will be received by the family on Thursday evening from 7:00-9:00 p.m., as well as one hour prior to the service.  Interment in Elmdale Memorial Park.  Memorial donations to Agape Fellowship, the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer Society of Elgin-St. Thomas gratefully acknowledged.
