Marion Louise Hardy (nee McKeown) of Petrolia. Beloved wife of Ernie Hardy passed away at Bluewater Health CEE, Petrolia on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 in her 81st year surrounded by her loving family. Dearly loved mother of Sharon and Jeff Murray of Petrolia and Craig and Bonnie Hardy of London. Devoted Guga to Emily and Jillian Murray, and Kirsten, Kendra and Rebecca Hardy. Predeceased by their daughter Elinor (1965), her sister Jean Livingstone, brothers Jack (Sam) McKeown and Ken McKeown. Survived by her sister Kay Wyman of Nanaimo, BC and sisters-in-law Donna McKeown of Sarnia, Ida Cleary of London, England and Maureen McKeown of Toronto. Also remembered by her nieces and nephews and life long friend Eleanor Fair of London, Ontario. Marion was born in St. Thomas, Ontario in 1933, the daughter of the late Samuel and Isabella (Armstrong) McKeown. Marion and her husband Ernie married in 1959 and moved to Sarnia where they started their family and business, The Sarnia Hardware. Marion was a long time member of the Delta Chi Sigma Sorority in Sarnia. The family would like to thank Dr. Daniel and the entire nursing staff in Petrolia for the heartfelt and compassionate care that was given to mom and to our family. Friends will be received Friday, January 16, 2015 at the NEEDHAM – JAY FUNERAL HOME, Petrolia from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 11 am at Christ Church Anglican, 414 Oil Street, Petrolia, Ontario. Private interment to follow.
