332_lamont_ruthRuth Marie Lamont (née Louther) of R. R. #2 Holyrood, passed away with family by her side, at South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Walkerton on Monday, April 25th, 2016 in her 88th year.

Beloved wife of the late Clarence Lamont who predeceased her in 1996.

Dear mother of Janet Baker and her husband Ken of Riversdale and Rick Louther and his wife Cathy of R. R. #3 Walkerton.

Missed by her grandchildren, Susan (John), Jeff (Steph), Chad (Jackie), Kyle, Jeremy (Lindsay) and Kate-Lyn (Lance) and 8 great-grandchildren.

Fondly remembered by her sister Helena Pollock, sister-in-law Mary Louther and several nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by one daughter and three sons in infancy, brothers Ivan Louther (Joyce) and Bill Louther, sister Wilda Yates (Jim), brother-in-law Cliff Pollock and parents Garnet and Mary (née Saunders) Louther.

Visitation will be held at the Tiffin Funeral Home, Teeswater on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., where the funeral service to celebrate Ruth’s life will be held on Friday at 1:30 p.m.

Interment Durham Road Baptist Cemetery.

KURTH, ShirleyThe family announces with sorrow, her death in Sudbury, Sunday, January 24, 2016 at the age of 78 years.  Daughter of the late Thomas and the late Bertha Bulloch. She now is reunited with her husband Wilfried Kurth (predeceased March 2012). Loving mother to Mazie McGlade (Shaun) and Brian Kurth (Jessica) both of Hanmer, Junior Kurth (Mary Ann) of Mississauga and Brenda Tompkins (Jack) of Hamilton.  Will be dearly missed by her 9 cherished grandchildren Chris, Jeff, Jamie, Kyle, Brandon, Thomas, Nathan, Trevor, Laura and 1 great-granddaughter Abby Rose.   Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by extended family and friends. Beloved mother of Kenneth (Lynn) of Hamilton, Scott (Denise) of Lavigne, Pat Picard (Jean-Guy) of Elliot Lake and Ashley (Lise) of Chelmsford. Survived by her sister Vera Osbourne of England. Predeceased by her other siblings Irene Smitherman of New Zealand and Fred Buss of England. Sadly missed by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. On April 22, 2016 Henry DeBolster passed on to meet his LORD and Saviour while surrounded by family at Hamilton General Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Jacoba DeBolster, and loving father of Geri and Marty VanEngen, Bert and Jane DeBolster, Nel Straatsma, Len and Elaine DeBolster, and Joanne and Jim Teeuwsen. He was blessed with 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. He will be sorely missed by the Redeemer University College, Christian Reformed Church, and Evergreen Terrace communities. Rev. Dr. DeBolster was a faithful servant of the LORD in ministry and the founding President of Redeemer University College, Ancaster, Ontario. Visitation will be held at MOUNTAINVIEW CHRISTIAN REFORMED CHURCH, 290 Main St. E., Grimsby, Ontario on Monday, April 25, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Following a private Interment, a Memorial Service will be held at REDEEMER UNIVERSITY COLLEGE, 777 Garner Rd. Passed away at the age of 24, on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at the Hamilton General Hospital. Through Daniel’s death he was able to give the gift of life to five others with organ donation. He will be sadly missed, and always remembered by his parents, Dan and Christine (nee Kaufmann), and his brother Christian. Daniel was a past graduate of Waterdown High School, and played with the Flamborough Hockey Association. He was currently working on his electrical apprenticeship. Daughter of the late Al and Marg Fawcett. Daughter in-law of Agnes and the late Archie McEachern of Durham. Loving mother of Brock (Christine Priddle) of Georgetown and Claire(Eton McKenzie) of Brampton. Devoted and proud Nana of Marcus and Grace McKenzie. Loved sister of Deborah Fawcett of Mount Forest and Robert Fawcett (Nancy Sinclair) of Markdale and their families. Beloved Aunt and Baa to many nieces and nephews. After receiving her funeral directors license in 1973, being one of two women in her class and a third generation but first women in the Fawcett Family, Allyson and the late Russell McEachern purchased the McTavish Funeral Home and the Radio Shack in Durham in 1978. Allyson successfully owned and operated the Fawcett-McEachern Funeral Home since. Born December 19, 1920 in Exeter, ON. Passed away peacefully on April14, 2016 at the Sun Parlor Home in Leamington. Predeceased by his parents Charles and Olive, and his beloved wife of 73 years, Doris Jean “Wynn” (Feb.6, 2016). Dedicated and loving father to Linda Rovere (Lorenzo) and Louise Dupuis (Don). He met his bride to be, Wynn, in Scotland while training with the RAF. They married and several weeks later he left for the war. As a Flight Lieutenant with the RCAF, Jack served his country during WWII, first training in Scotland and then as a commanding officer of several A.M.E.S. radar units in North Africa and Italy. After the war he brought his new bride to Canada, completed 4 years of study at the University of Toronto and graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Together Jack and Wynn established a home in Leamington and raised two loving daughters, Jack as manager of the Leamington Public Utilities and Wynn as manager of the home and family. Jack served on many municipal and provincial committees during his time at the PUC. He was president of two provincial electrical societies, the AMEU and the OMEA. He served Knox Presbyterian Church as an elder and for many years was on the board of trustees. Jack and Wynn had many wonderful friends with whom they traveled and socialized. His children, however, would consider his greatest achievement as being a wonderful father and a truly devoted husband. We know that Jack and Wynn are once again happy together. Theirs is a truly amazing love story. The family would like to express its sincere gratitude both to the current and former staffs on 3 West at the Sun Parlor Home for their care, kindness and compassion shown during dad’s time there. BERUBE, LorenzoIn loving memory of Lorenzo “Larry” who passed away peacefully at Health Sciences North, on December 18th, 2015. He is survived by his sisters Claire Bertrand (late George), Laurette Rondeau (late Gérald) and sister-in-law Yvette Bérubé (late Antonio). He was the youngest son of Ferdinand and Edwidge (née Pineault) predeceased, who raised 13 children on their farm in Hanmer. Predeceased by his siblings Annette Landry (Delphis), Father Arthur Bérubé, s.j., Edgar (Nora), Albert, Dorila (Liliane), Benoit (Gilberte), Armand (Marguerite), Antonio (Yvette), Camil (Elvine) and Madeleine Bergeron (André). Larry will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He worked for many years at Laberge Lumber. He then moved to Ottawa where he enjoyed his work as a barber. After moving to Hamilton, he became a porter in the arthritis section of Chedoke Hospital, and subsequently returned to Sudbury to enjoy his retirement with his family. Reading, shopping for deals and sipping a martini in the Florida sun were a few of his favorite pastimes. As per Lorenzo’s request there will be no visitation. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 29th, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Ste-Anne-des-Pins Church, Sudbury. Peacefully, with his daughters by his side, at The Village of Tansley Woods, Burlington on Friday, April 8, 2016 at the age of 91. Predeceased by his beloved wife Barbara (2013). Loved father of Bridget (John) Trebble, and Deborah (Robert) Gosse. Dear grandfather of Jonathan (Marie) Trebble, Jamie (Jennifer) Trebble, Julie (Steven) Shepherd, and great grandfather to Caitlyn, Thomas, Cavan, Samuel, Tatum, and Mia. He is survived by his sister Josie (Owen) Myles, in England.  Sid was born in Manchester, England and immigrated to Canada in 1956.  He was a longtime resident of Oakville and Burlington, and was part owner of Flippance and Carr Limited. In keeping with his wishes cremation has taken place, and Sid has been laid to rest with his wife at Waterdown Cemetery. Blanche Berneace Tomlinson (nee Gough), 88, of Burlington, Ontario passed away at St. Peter’s Hospital on March 24, 2016, after a lengthy illness.
A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 pm [Noon] April 8th, 2016 at the Appin Presbyterian Church, Appin Ontario.
Blanche was born in Ekfrid Township on October 1, 1927. She was a former employee of the Royal Bank of Canada having started her career at Dutton branch and ultimately retiring from Stoney Creek Branch. It was the vacancy she left at Dutton branch that allowed her son to also join the Royal Bank where he spent the next 41 years before also retiring in 2004.
Blanche was married to Edward Grant Tomlinson who pre-deceased her on December 7, 2000.
Blanche is survived by her son Ross and his wife Valentina; foster daughter Faith Zouzal and her husband Karl; grandsons Brent Tomlinson; Eric and Karl Zouzal; Alex and Stan Kazakov and great-grandson Jack Tomlinson.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the Appin Presbyterian Church. The family of Blanche Tomlinson wish to thank the staff of St. Peter’s Hospital in Hamilton for their caring and support these past 16 months.

Doug was a graduate of the University of Waterloo and spent his working life in the IT department of Bonar Packaging in Burlington. After early retirement, he kept busy doing carpentry and home renovation projects for his friends. He was a long-time member of Flamborough Hills Golf Club. Loving husband, father, grandfather and provider, Jim was a dedicated Roman Catholic and an outstanding citizen.  Jim leaves behind his wife Jean, and their six children, Marie, Patricia, Jim, Catharine, Michael and Daniel: two PhD’s, two MA’s, mechanic and millwright and company owner and long-time operator of a family business.  Jim also took great joy in his ten grandchildren: John, Neil, Alison, Jimmy, Andrew, Kelsey, Mark, Natalie, Kevin, and Gwenyth, and great-grandchild, McCarthy.  Jim was always active in his church.  He was an altar server until he was 21 years of age.  An active and long-time member of the Knights of Columbus, Jim served as Grand Knight of the Dundas Council and then as Charter Grand Knight for the Father Vernon H. Culliton Council in Waterdown which achieved Star Council award each year under his tenure.  Jim served two years as District #83 Deputy and in that capacity coordinated a cancer research funding drive with the Masonic Lodge.  He and his wife, Jean, represented Southern Ontario at the 1986 Knights of Columbus Convention in Minnesota.  Jim served on the St. Thomas School Board in the 1960’s and 1970’s.  Later, in the 1990’s, Jim served on the St. Thomas Church Building Committee.  He was pleased to see the new church building completed in 2004.  Jim found much inspiration as a Minister of Communion and coordinated worship ministries for many years under four succeeding priests in Waterdown.  He served as a manager of a Hamilton company and later he was the sales manager and president of a small construction company.  Jim strongly believed in, and embodied, the Golden Rule – do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Cremation was held in Mexico wishes of his family from Poland and Celebration of Matt’s life, followed by the blessing of Matts Ashes at Markey-Dermody Funeral Home in Hamilton on September 26, 2015. Matt had bigger than life personality, infectious laugh, he was loved my many. Matt leaves behind his Mother in Poland, two sisters, daughters and grandchildren. It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Tom, on Sunday, March 20, 2016 at 79 years of age. Beloved husband for 55 years to the late Mary (nee Jabbour – December 29, 2015). Devoted father of Shirley Taouil (Milad), Emig Nohra (Michelle), Giselle Banner, Louise Boomer, the late Mary Ann Whittle (2014), Joe Nohra (Joyce). Cherished Gidu of Christina (Rob), Michael (Jeanette), Matthew, Bradley, Erica, Adrianna, Thomas, Vanessa, Cassandra, Ashley, Adam, Aidan, Ethan, and Tristan; and big Gidu of Brandon and Alyssa. Tom was a dear brother, brother-in-law and uncle to many within the Nohra and Jabbour families. Visiting at the Reid Funeral Home & Reception Centre, 14 Russell Street, Leamington (519-326-2631) on Tuesday, from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. Parish Prayers Tuesday at 8 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be held Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at 10 a.m. from St. Joseph’s Church, 310 Sherk Street, Leamington. Passed away in her sleep, on March 16, 2016 at Joseph Brant Hospital, Burlington. Beloved wife of 35 years to Jack Suckel. Loving mother of Andrea (Brandon Coppes), Dana, and Breanne. Doting grandmother to Casey. Penny is survived by sisters Shelia Hicks, Terry Ferringo (Lee), and Sharon Harris. Beloved husband of Joyce (nee Thornton) Hermeston of Teeswater.

Missed by his daughter-in-law Karen Hermeston and grandson Nathan Hermeston both of Calgary.

Survived by his sisters Edna Rivers and Lorna Freudeman, brothers Neale Hermeston (Wilma) and Wallace Hermeston (June) and several nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his parents, Mervin and Ivy (Humphrey) Hermeston, sons Jeffrey Hermeston and Matthew Hermeston, daughter Tamara Hermeston, sisters Lily and Alice, brothers Robert, France, William and James and brothers-in-law Ray Rivers and Doug Freudeman.

Tom was a retired employee of over thirty years with Ontario Hydro.

Beloved husband of Alma (nee Ross) Donaldson for 62 years.

Dear father of Brian Donaldson and partner Suzanne Ernewein of Culross Township and Murray Donaldson of Orangeville.

Missed by step-granddaughters, Stacey Dobson and friend Scott Arnett and Missy Abell and husband Wes and step-great-grandchildren, Braxton, Bridgette, Braeddon, Kole and Logan.

Fondly remembered by his sister Nora Beitz of Mildmay, in-laws Evelyn Mills of Sarnia, Jack and Marion Ross of Wingham, Lois and Mitchell Babcock of Kitchener-Waterloo and several nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his parents Alexander and Lillian (Scott) Donaldson and brothers-in-law Clarence Beitz and Brian Mills.

Visitation will be held at the Tiffin Funeral Home, Teeswater on Thursday, March 17th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., where the funeral service to celebrate Gord’s life will take place Friday, March 18th, 2016 at 11:00 a.m., with Reverend Owen Kim officiating.

Interment Smith Cemetery, Culross Township.

Dear father of Jim Rion, and Jane McCoy and her husband John. Cherished grandfather of James, and Mary. Beloved brother of Raymond (Shirley), Carol (the late Bill), Roger (Nessie), and brother in law of Diane (the late Cameron), Barbara (Paul) and Michael (the late Joan). Predeceased by his siblings, Joan, Norman, and Beverley. Cremation has taken place. In keeping with Don’s wishes no service will be held. Private family burial will take place at a later date. Beloved husband of the former Deanne Allan.

Loving father of Judy Lyons of Wingham, Jeff Dickson of Teeswater, Nancy Dickson (David LeGault) of Ethel, Jane Tolton (Paul) of Belmore and Scott Dickson (Lesley) of Wingham.

Proud Papa of Carman and Garett Stafford, Bradley and Christopher Lyons, Michaela, Logan and Caleb Tolton, Connor, Brianna, Griffin and Dylan Dickson.

Fondly remembered by his sisters, Stella Douglas of Clifford, Jean Field of Clifford, Alice Mawhinney (Ivan) of Mildmay and brother George Dickson of Belmore.

Also survived by brothers-in-law Glen Allan (Reta) of Englehart and Andy Allan (June) of Wingham and several nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his parents, James and Annabel (Darling) Dickson, daughter-in-law Lois Ballagh, brothers Ken Dickson (Mildred) and John Dickson (Florence), brothers-in-law John Douglas and Russell Field and sisters-in-law Reta Dahms (Ronald), Iyla Elliott (Bob Burchill) and Connie Allan.

A mingle and mix visitation will take place at the Belmore Community Centre, Belmore (91122 Belmore Line) on Saturday, March 5th, 2016 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. (following Ralph’s wishes, there will be no formal receiving line). A Masonic Lodge Memorial Service will be held on Saturday at 9:30 p.m.

The memorial service to celebrate Ralph’s life will take place at the Belmore Community Centre, Belmore on Sunday, March 6th, 2016 at 2:00 p.m.
