hacker obit picIt is with saddened hearts that the family of Dwayne Patrick Hacker announces his passing at the age of 40 at Bluewater Health.  Loving husband and best friend of Amy Hacker (nee Thornton). Proud father of his 3 loving children Blayne, Nolan and Evangeline. Cherished son of Verna and Kenneth Hacker. Dear brother of Robert of Jamaica, Simone (Ryan) Frank of Sarnia and Dean (Beth Anne) Hacker of Sarnia.  Son-in-law of Marg and Chuck Thornton.  Brother-in-law of Krissy (Lance) Marcy of Sarnia.  Forever missed by grandma Dell Neil (nee Thornton). Survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.  Predeceased by his brother Kenneth Jr., his grandparents Phyliss and Jerome Kameka and Doris and Elais Hacker.   Dwayne loved playing paintball with Blayne, attending Nolan’s football games and watching Eva’s gymnastics and cheerleading events.  Dwayne was a registered nurse at Marshall Gowland Manor for 15 years where he provided people with compassionate and dedicated care.  Some of his favourite pastimes included cooking, gardening, listening to music, spending time with his family and cuddling with Layla Beans. Dwayne was always there to help and assist anyone; he always had a smile or joke to cheer everyone up. He will be missed by all of those who knew and loved him.  Family and friends will be received on Thursday, February 20, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 LONDON Line, Sarnia, ON N7T 7H2.
