GUENTHER, Jake of St. George, ON, formerly of Waterdown, ON
Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at the Stedman Community Hospice, Brantford, Jacob William Guenther of St. George, age 82, born in Waterdown, ON in 1929. Beloved husband of Helen (nee MacKay) for 64 years. Dear father of LeRoy (Sharon), Gary (Corry), Karen, and Ken (Leanne). Sadly missed by his grandchildren Braden (Kristine), Brett, Bryce, Blair, Letitia (Rob), Craig, Kevin (Brianna), Courtnee, Darrick and Dyllan and great-grandchildren Jack, Olivia, Ryan, Aaron and Hannah. Lovingly remembered by brother LeRoy and sisters Bernice (Roger), Lois and Jean, and brothers-in-law Ken (Peggy) MacKay, Don (Sheila) MacKay, John (Rene) Binkley and sister-in-law Mary Currie. Jake was a dedicated lifetime employee for 43 years at Canada Crushed Stone in Dundas, ON.
Upon Jake’s request, cremation has taken place. Friends may visit with the family at KITCHING, STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME, 146 Mill St. N., Waterdown on Friday, June 22, 2012 from 1 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 3 p.m. Reception to follow in the Family Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jake’s memory to Stedman Community Hospice, Brantford or the Cancer Assistance Program would be appreciated.
