GRAVELLE, ConradThe family announces with great sorrow his passing in Chelmsford on Monday, September 22nd, 2014 at the age of 96 years. Husband of the late Léona (née Bradley) Gravelle. Son of the late Ernest and of the late Albina (née Brosseau) Gravelle. Beloved father of Mignonne (Denis Lauzon) of Azilda, Claude (Marie-Claire) and Viviane Gowan (Bob) both of Chelmsford and Jean of Ottawa. Predeceased by his son Gérard (Donna of Chelmsford). Predeceased by his siblings Aimée Brosseau (late Hervé), Aldège (late Olina), Yvette Pharand (late Maurice), Aurèle (Ida of Chelmsford), Florent (late Noëlla), Roger (Juliette of Chelmsford) and Hélène Fletcher (late Mickey). Cherished grandfather of Pierre, Lynn, Gerri-Lee, Angela, Daniel, Trevor, Michel, Tisha and Johanne. Great-grandfather of Abigayle, Cédric, Emily, Julia, Nathan, Hailey, Joshua, Owen, Alicia, Arianne, Kate and Kye. Conrad enjoyed many different hobbies after retiring from being a bus driver for the Sudbury Catholic Board of Education. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening and he thoroughly enjoyed his long winter walks in the bush. He was a longtime member of the Rayside-Balfour Senior Craft Shop in Chelmsford and loved woodworking and playing cards with the members. Special acknowledgement to the staff at the St. Gabriel Villa in Chelmsford for the special care and attention given to our father. He enjoyed to banter with the staff and always felt at home at the Villa. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 4691 RR 15, Chelmsford on Wednesday, September 24th, 2014 from 7 to 9:30 p.m. and Thursday morning after 9 a.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 25th, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Paroisse St-Joseph, Chelmsford. As expressions of sympathy, donations (by cheque only) to the St. Gabriel Villa would be appreciated.
