Grant: Stella (Bonnie) of Port Coquitlam Formerly of Sechelt, Castlegar

images-4Bonnie Grant, 85 of Port Coquitlam, B.C. (formerly of Sechelt and Castlegar) died Sept 30th, 2015. “Bonnie” daughter of Albert and Mary Lapointe, loving wife of Jack Grant passed away peacefully after a long battle with COPD. She is survived by her two sons Jack and Patrick. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, six great grandchildren her sister Jeannine in Kamloops and many nieces and nephews. She carried a heavy heart upon losing her only daughter Mari, in 1994. Bonnie worked in many facets of caring. She was a facilitator for the West Kootenay Society for the Mentally Challenged, a Care Aid for Raspberry Lodge rest home and many other positions that made life better for anyone around her. She was never one to sit idly. Bonnie was the queen of crafts and sewing. She handmade all the grandchildrens’ Halloween costumes which they still remember to this day. She came to the nickname “Busy Bonnie” honestly. She was a very unique person and family meant everything to her. She will be greatly missed by the family and anyone that had the chance to cross paths with her. No services are planned at her request. Bonnie will be placed to rest with her husband Jack in Sechelt, B.C.
