GODIN, NoellaIt is with great sadness that the family announces her passing on September 1st, 2014, peacefully at home after her brave battle with cancer. Wife of Rodney Godin (predeceased in 1980). Loving mother of Dan Godin (Dawn) of Kitchener and Lorie Klipa (Michi) of Sudbury. Cherished grandmother of Hailey, Rodney (Sheena), Teara, Gerry, Dylan and Quéline. Great-grandmother of Jordan. Dear sister of Rita Godin (Douglas) both predeceased, Diane Dempsey (Edgar) of Sudbury, Kim Brousseau of Ottawa and Richard Brousseau of Sudbury. Loving partner of Gil Pharand of Wahnapitae, daughters Lisa-Marie Pharand of Burlington and Sherri-Lynn Pitre (Guy) of Sudbury. Lovingly remembered by very special Memere Pharand and the Pharand family. Daughter of Oswald and Delores Brousseau (both predeceased). Godmother of Billy Allard of Barrie. Aunt and great-aunt to many nieces and nephews. Noëlla enjoyed being at home, reading, doing puzzles, crosswords and watching her game shows. Noëlla and Gil spent many happy years together; poker runs on the Harley and organizing and attending functions at the School House. They purchased a trailer and lot on Lake Nipissing where family gatherings were enjoyed. She adored her grandchildren, storytime was a favorite enjoyed by them all, and each had their own special things shared with Nanny. She was so proud of her great-grandson Jordan; working in the yard with her and Gil (Papa), walking or riding his bike to the park with Nanny and skipping stones in the river. Always thinking of her children before herself and always there for them. She was a quiet, kind and caring person. All that loved her, held a special place in her heart. Always remembered, never forgotten. Love you Mom/Nanny/Noel. Special thank you to Dr. Bakker, Marian Pharand and the staff at Bayshore. As per Noëlla’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, Sudbury.
