Mrs. Evelyn Glendinning, a resident of Wallaceburg passed away on Friday,
January 4, 2013 at home in her 87th year. She was born in Milverton, Ontario and
was a daughter of the late W.T. “Bill” and Mignon (Petrie) Laing. Evelyn was an
accomplished pianist, an avid reader, leader of the Junior Choir at Trinity
United Church and was an active member of the Trinity United Church Senior Choir
for 60 years. Beloved wife of Jack Glendinning. Loving mother and mother-in-law
of Sue Teal-Glendinning of Sarnia, Jim (Vicki) Glendinning and Kathy (Joe)
Kennedy all of Wallaceburg. Dear grandmother of Chad (Maria) and Kyle (Hayley).
Loving great grandmother of Elena. Kind sister and sister-in-law of Bill Laing
of Font Hill, Bob (Pat) Laing of Font Hill, Helen Thorner of London, Bill
Glendinning of Blenheim, Nancy Griffith of Wallaceburg and Gaele (Gary) Mifflin
of Blenheim. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sister
Marg and her husband Bob Reeke, her sisters-in-law Pat Laing, Hazel Glendinning
and brother-in-law Eldon Griffith.
To honour her wishes, cremation will take place and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.  As an  expression of sympathy, donations to Trinity United Church may be left at the funeral home.   As a living memorial, a tree will be planted in Nicholls Memorial Forest in memory of Evelyn Glendinning.
