GLASIER, Barbara2November 15, 1933 – November 21, 2014

It is with profound sadness the family of Barbara Doris Glasier (nee Thomas) announces that she has passed away peacefully.  Predeceased by her parents Gwendoline (Evans) and William (Bub) Thomas, sister Peggy (Hughie) Hemphill, and survived by her loving brother Trevor Thomas and his wife Carol.  Loving mother to Brian (Carol Sauve), Barry (Laurie), Kevin (Karen), Brenda (Joe Renaud), Keith (Laurie Morand), and Kathy (Ron Malolepszy).  Loving Grandma “Gma” to Nikki (Seb Gougeon), Adam Glasier (Kristina), Marcia Hornick (Claude), Jason Glasier (Tina), Brandon Glasier (Jessica), Andrew Glasier, Kory Glasier (April Lee), Kim Pfaff (Jeff), Allan Glasier (Sara Wiggins), Colleen Webb (Andrew Thompson), Katy Webb (Jordan Ryan), Holly Demers (Mike), Jay Renaud (Amanda), Brett Glasier, Brady Glasier, Angela Malolepszy, and Patrick Malolepszy.  Loving GG to Addisyn Glasier, Hudson Gougeon, Darian and Devon Marentette, Jaxsen and Hayden Fletcher, Canyen Glasier, Sophia Glasier, Leah Glasier, Maria, Macy and Drew Pfaff, Mercedes, Maddox and Story Renaud, and Dakota Demers.  Best friend to Diane Brooks.  Mom worked for Tilbury Big V for many years and considered the staff there as extended family.  Our Mother was an amazing woman who loved in a way that we all hope to be able to emulate.  As her granddaughter beautifully wrote, ?She is a woman who proved that family has nothing to do with DNA?.  She loved all unconditionally.  She loved her family and considered her greatest accomplishment raising a large, loving family that is always there for each other through good times and bad.  We would like to thank Chez Nous Lodge for their loving care and for making Barb feel like she was at home.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation.  A celebration of Barb?s life will be held at the Tilbury Royal Canadian Legion on Saturday, December 6, 2014, with a service starting at 11:00 a.m.
