GINGRAS; Henry (Harry) Thomas ~ Our hero passed away Saturday December 21, 2013 in his 91st year. He was a devoted husband to Margaret Gingras (Killah-Stein) for over 53 years and cherished father of Judy Seymour (John), Peter Stein (Faye), Louise Rae (Kirk) and Ellen Gingras. He was adored by his grandchildren, Joanna (Erik), Amanda (Patrick), Madison, Andrew, Ryan, Carly, Shelby and his great grandson, Cooper. Harry was born in Toronto (March 16, 1923) to the late Francis and Marie Gingras and lived in the Greater Toronto Area for the majority of his life working as a Sales Accounting Manager for Union Carbide. Upon retirement, he and Margaret relocated to Beaverton where they enjoyed more than 30 active, recreational years. Harry served his country with honourable duty during WWII as part of the Royal Canadian Artillery (1942-1945) and he earned the love and respect of everyone who knew him with his quiet, kind demeanour and sense of humour. Visitation will take place Monday, December 30th at 10:00 am at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 573 Simcoe Street, Beaverton, followed by a memorial mass at 11:00 am. A luncheon will follow at the Beaverton Legion, 517 Mara Rd, Beaverton. In lieu of flowers and if desired, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
