Lucille Gillies 001 (166x250)Gillies, Lucille (Taylor) of St. Thomas, passed away at her late residence, on Saturday, January 19th, 2013, in her 78th year. Beloved wife of the late Douglas Hardy Gillies (1999) and dearly loved mother of Charlene and her husband Reg Gilmer of South Mountain and Paul Gillies and his wife Sarah Jaquest of Kingston. Much loved grandmother of Brooke and Mallory Gilmer and Arielle Gillies. Dear sister of Kathleen and her husband David Longfield. Dear aunt of Brad, Dawn, Laurie, Rob and John. Lucille was born in St. Thomas on July 1st, 1935, the daughter of the late Herman and Reeta (Tapsell) Taylor. She worked for Statistics Canada. Lucille was a member of the Wabuna Rebekah Lodge #143, Shedden and the L.E.S. (Harmony #3).

Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas where funeral service will be held Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow in Elmdale Cemetery. Visitation Monday from 7-9 p.m. A Memorial service will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday evening at 6:15 p.m. by Officers and Members of the Wabuna Lodge #143. Remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
