STEPHENS, Gibson – Suddenly on March 26, 2012, Gibson “Gibber” Stephens of Woodstock in his 91st year.  Beloved husband of Jean (nee Spencer) for over 67 years. Dear father of Dwight and Ken (Maureen).  Loving grandfather of Sarah Stephens, Tracy Beaudette, Wayne Stephens, and Jodi Stephens and great-grandfather of four. Gibber owned and operated the Stephens Barber Shop in Woodstock for over 40 years, and after retiring continued to barber at Woodingford Lodge and by making home visits to his clients until his death.  Gibber was a founding member of the Oxford Philatelic Society as well as a longstanding member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 55, Woodstock.  Gibber served with the United States Marine Corps having fought in the Guadalcanal Campaign and in Battle of Iwo Jima.  Private family funeral arrangements.  If desired, memorial donations to the VON Sakura House or a charity of your choice would be appreciated and may be arranged through the SMITH-LeROY FUNERAL HOME, Woodstock, (519) 537-3611.  Personal condolences may be sent at
