web_Gauthier, GaryBorn on December 20, 1951. Died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on January 26, 2015 at 63 years of age. There was no one quite like him… We had to say goodbye to our dear husband, father, brother, in law, uncle and friend Gary “Gauth”, after a tremendously difficult journey. He fought a good fight right to the very end and never lost his “sharp” sense of humour. Best friend and husband to Julie (nee Scodeller) for almost 40 years. Devoted father to Jessie (Eric) and David (Laura). Predeceased by parents Wilfred & Florence Gauthier, and father & mother-in-law Louis & Giovanna Scodeller. Loving brother to Jude Gauthier. Brother-in-law to Orf & Cathy Scodeller, Ray & the late Mary Penfold. Fun-loving uncle to Marc (Tiffany), Amy (Josh) & Regan. Will be sorely missed by many relatives and many, many friends. Gary was the longtime owner of Bull & Gauthier Collision. He was a member of Pointe West Golf Club and Essex Golf & Country Club. He will be missed greatly. If you so desire, donations to the Windsor Essex County Cancer Centre Foundation, St. John the Baptist Restoration Fund or Hospice of Windsor Essex would be appreciated by the family. Visiting Thursday 7-9 pm. and Friday 2-5 pm & 7-9 pm. Parish prayers Friday 4:30 p.m. at Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor, 519-969-5841.  On Saturday, family and friends are invited to meet at St. John the Baptist Church, 225 Brock Street, Amherstburg after 10:30 am until the time of Mass of Resurrection at 11:30 am.
