She was a dedicated, loving wife and mother and will forever be missed by her husband Roger and six children: Daniel (Brenda), Suzanne Dubien (Ginot), Marc-Roch, Pierre (Susan), Catherine, Caroline Bean (David), also by eight grandchildren and one great-grandson. Also in mourning are Joyce’s brothers Hubert (Marie), Sidney (Mary), Jeoffrey and two sisters, Mildred Gardiner (Harry), and Doreen. Joyce will be missed by her surviving in-laws: Fr. She was born in Inverness QC; in her teens she moved with her family to Kitchener ON. She graduated as RN at the KW Hospital in 1953. Joyce worked at Sudbury General Hospital for most of her career as a dedicated nurse, specializing in psychiatric care. She will be remembered by many for making a difference in lives of those suffering from mental illness. Joyce enjoyed many outdoor activities with Roger: skiing, golfing, walking, as well as spending time at the cottage with the family. Family and friends were very important to Joyce, and she ensured she attended all extended family gatherings and special events. Heartfelt thanks to the dedicated and caring staff at Pioneer Manor. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd on Sunday, August 3rd, 2014 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will celebrated on Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Paroisse L’Annonciation, Sudbury.
