John passed into the grace of God with his family at his side on March 8, 2013. John was the eldest son of Marie (Waddick) and Charles Fuerth and was born in Woodslee, Ontario on the home farm. Lovingly called Jack by his mother, Butch by his family, he was Daddy to his children. In 1950, John met the love of his life Marjorie Quinlan of Maidstone. Together they shared a love of baseball, hockey and golf. John and Marjorie had twelve children: Anne and husband Dave Miles, Michael and wife Cindy, John and wife Grace, Ruth and husband Bill Duncan, Bill and wife Bea, Joan and husband Steven Shifman, Christine and husband Ron Harper, the late Edward (1961), Chuck and wife Norine, Larry and wife Paula, Joe and wife Renée, and Marnie. With their children they ran a successful dairy and cash crop operation, Fondvale Farms. John was active in establishing the Woodslee Credit Union, a lifetime member of St. John Evangelist Church and a charter member of the Knights of Columbus # 4555. John will be remembered most for his strong work ethic, his love of family and God and his hearty laugh. Beloved grandpa of Kristy, Steven, David, Katie, Rachelle, Vincent, Noah, Benjamin, Laura, Heather, Celia, Bill John, Tyson, Zachary, Alex, Lia, Kaitlyn, Carissa, Katrina, Lauren, Carter, Ally, Kelsey, Jacob, Rebecca, Mya, and Avery. Great-grandpa of 12 great-grandchildren and one on the way. Dear brother of the late Robert, husband of Marion Fuerth, Gerald and wife Lorraine Fuerth, late Patricia and husband Stan Gillier, Jean and late husband Ralph Wickenheiser, Francis and late wife Madeline Fuerth, Donald and wife Denise Fuerth. Brother-in-law of the late Rita and James McIntyre, the late Charles and Maxine Quinlan, Helen and the late Edward Olech, Patricia and Donald Zimmer, Jeanne  and the late Leonard Maitre, Father Chris Quinlan, Grace and the late Raymond Maitre, late Paul, husband of Pat Quinlan, Ruth Quinlan, Vera Quinlan, Lawrence and Carol Quinlan, Gertrude and Robert Davidson. Remembered fondly by many nieces and nephews.  John is resting at the Kennedy Funeral Home Ltd. (519-776-7378) 128 Talbot St. North, Essex on Saturday from 7-9 p.m. and on Sunday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers Sunday at 3 p.m. Knights of Columbus Prayers Sunday 7:30 p.m. On Monday, friends are invited to meet the family after 9:30 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church – 1688 County Rd 46 Woodslee followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Interment St. John’s Cemetery.
