Freeman, Jeremiah “Jerry” of St. Thomas, passed away on Sunday, May 6th, 2012, at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in his 83rd year. Dearly loved husband of 62 years of Marion (Mote) Freeman and loved father of Paul of London, Janice Freeman of St. Thomas and the late Ralph Freeman. Dear brother of Arthur Freeman (late Ruth), Patricia Irons (Neil), Laura McCallum (late Hugh), Kenneth Freeman (Brenda) late Robert Freeman (late Isabel), late Lila Flaven (late Bill), the late Alvah Freeman and the late Ida (Freeman) Humphries (Floyd). Special friend to Paul and Janet Koztyria and family, Alma Hopkin and family and the Pretty family. Jerry was born in St. Thomas on January 17th, 1929, the son of the late Arthur B. and Hazel (Anger) Freeman. He worked for many years for the railroads in St. Thomas and then worked for the County of Elgin. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed woodworking.

The family will receive friends at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas on Friday from 2-4 p.m. Cremation has taken place with private interment of ashes in St. Thomas Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to St. Thomas Cemetery.
