The family announces with sorrow his passing in Florida, Monday, February 4th, 2013 at the age of 72 years. Loving husband of Rejeanne Fredette (née Langis). Son of Dolores Fredette (née Giroux) of Sudbury and late Romeo Fredette. Loving father of Lynn Houle (Bernard), Michel Fredette (Michele) both of Chelmsford and Carole Fredette (Michel Laberge) of Ottawa. Dear brother of Diane Tardif (Charles), Raymond (Colette) and Anne Leduc all of Hanmer, Normand Fredette (Lucy) of Azilda, Leo Fredette (Madeleine) of Val Caron and Suzanne Fredette of Chelmsford and Vivianne Mageau (Guy) of Sturgeon Falls. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Kevin, Jennifer, Sarah, Isabelle, Tyler, Justin and by his great-grandchildren Anna, Alexie and Blair. Eddy was a retired Inco employee with 38 years service and a volunteer Fireman for 45 years with an exemplary service medal from the Governor General and long service medal from the Solicitor General. He was an avid outdoorsman, loved fishing and hunting. At the family’s request, there will be no visitation. The family will receive relatives and friends for a mass of Christian burial to be celebrated Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church, Chelmsford. In lieu of flowers, donations (by cheque only) to the Northern Cancer Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Cooperative Funeral Home, Chelmsford.
