Peacefully with his family by his side after a long and wonderful life, FREDERICK HAROLD McCORMICK, 84 years, of Wyoming passed away on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Bluewater Health, Sarnia. Predeceased by his beloved wife Gladys (nee McEwen)(1992) and his son Doug McCormick (2007). Fred is survived by his daughters Nancy McCormick of Calgary, Alberta and Cindy and Murray Kemp of Forest, and his daughter-in-law Donna McCormick of Wyoming. Cherished grandfather of Carla Theoret, Todd Kemp, Katie Kemp, Meagan McCormick, Brittany McCormick, Trevor McCormick, and Gregory McCormick. He will be deeply missed by his special friend and loved companion Mildred Dodge of Wyoming. Survived by brother Lloyd McCormick (Dorothy) and sisters, Vina Gould and Lottie Hennaert. He is also survived by sisters-in-law, Jeannie McCormick, Lottie May McCormick and Grace (McEwen) Christianson. Born in Plympton Township, Fred was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Laura McCormick, brothers Jack (Mary), Gordon (Addie), Earl (Nan), Buster, Ross, and Bill, and sisters, Mae Pettit (George), Dorothy Thomas (Roy), Lorein Emery (Willis), and Donna Chalmers (Harvey). He was also predeceased by sisters and brothers-in-law, Margaret Brooks (Jack) and Dorothy Christianson (Charles), Glenn McEwen, Albert Gould and Peter Hennaert. The family wishes to thank the staff at Bluewater Health – C.E.E. and Sarnia sites for their great care and support during a difficult time. A funeral service was held at Wyoming United Church, Second St., Wyoming on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Wendy Milliken officiated. During the service, Barb Helps sang the hymns “The Lord’s Prayer” and “How Great Thou Art”, accompanied by Marilyn Armstrong. Interment was in Wyoming Cemetery. The pallbearers were Murray Kemp, Todd Kemp, Trevor McCormick, Gregory McCormick, Maurice Steadman, and Mike DeBoer. Carla Theoret, Meagan McCormick and Brittany McCormick were flower bearers.
