Fowler-James of St. Thomas, passed away peacefully, on Wednesday, November 12th, 2014, at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in his 94th year. Beloved husband of the late Sadie (Blondell) Fowler (1995) and special friend of Mariam Armstrong and family.  Dear brother of Frank Fowler, Mae McCusker, Ethel Alexander and Peggy Gervias. Dear uncle to Doug Bowley and Donna McClarene, both of B.C, Carol Quinn, Barry McCusker, and Susan Theriault all of Timmins, ON, Gail Arbing of Mt. Stewart, P.E.I., Brian McCusker of Thompson, M.B., Margaret Ann Calziezzi of Cochrane, ON, and Bruce Alexander of New Liskeard, ON. Predeceased by his two sisters, Bessie and Laura Fowler. Jim was born in Schumacher, Ontario on October 16th, 1921 the son of the late James and Ethel Fowler. He served in the Canadian Force for 5 years during W.W.II. He was a member of Branch 41 of the Royal Canadian Legion, St. Thomas. Jim owned and operated the Aylmer Hotel with his wife for a number of years.

A private family service will be held on Monday, November 17th, 2014. Cremation, with interment in South Park Cemetery (Veterans section). Remembrances may be made to the Poppy Fund of the Legion. Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas in charge of arrangements.
