Forbes photo croppedPeacefully, after a long and wonderful life, on March 2, 2014 with his family by his side, Roy passed away at Afton Park Place at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Katherine “Kae” (2010), devoted father of Krystal and Kelley, and loved father-in-law of Tim Butler and Peter Buscema. Roy was the cherished Pupa of Nicole and Christopher Buscema and Michael Butler. He was predeceased by his sisters Gertrude Scott and Betty Goring-McPeak, and brother Bruce.

Roy was a dedicated employee of Imperial Oil Sarnia for 42 years. He was a gentle and kind man with a good sense of humour and a love for all people. In 1969 Roy built the family cottage where lasting memories were made for everyone. He enjoyed travelling with his wife and making new friends while attending fiddle contests and bagpipe tattoos. Roy was one of the many founding members of St. Peter’s Parish, where he and his family actively practiced their faith.

The family is grateful to the staff at both Twin Lakes Terrace Retirement Residence and Afton Park Place for their care of Roy. Special thanks to Dr. W. Gannon, Dr. B. Davies and Dr. W. O’Mahony for their exceptional care of Roy.
