Dear father of Robert, his wife Candice, Michael and his wife Amy all of London. Proud and dedicated grandfather of Julia and Gabriel. Bob will be missed by his many friends, family, and Manitoban cousins along with his beloved Honey. Bob was an avid outdoorsman enjoying the wooded area behind his home and fishing. images-4Passed away unexpectedly in his home town, Haripur, on February 8th, 2016 in his 68th year. Beloved husband and best friend of Mamoona (Khan) for 39 years. Dearly loved father of Farsa Imran of Red Deer, Alberta, Sarah Iqbal (Waqas) of Sialkot, Hafsa Jatt (Talha) of Lahore, and Dilawar Aziz (Anna) of Flin Flon, BC. Dear brother of Aziz of Karachi, Ameen of Red Deer, Alberta and the late Sheena Ifthikar (Hassan). Also survived by several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Parvaiz will be sadly missed, he is an immense loss for family and friends but a priceless gain for heaven.

A private family funeral will be held in Haripur on a later date. A memorial will be held in Red Deer, AB in June 2016.

Murphy, EdytheEdythe Murphy of Chesley, passed away at The Halliday House, Chesley on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 in her 92nd year.

Beloved wife of the late Douglas Murphy. Loving mother of Bob (Diane) of Chesley, Don (Shirley) of The Pas, Manitoba and Terry of Chesley. Edythe will be sadly missed by her grandsons Scott (Tammy) of Winnipeg, Mike (Joella) of Ilderton, Paul (Morgyn) of The Pas and Matt (Vicki) of Chesley as well as her great-grandchildren Breanne, Patrick, Emerson, Landon, Sloan, Gibson, Holden, Everly, Tyler and Corbin.
Fondly remembered by her sister Mary Lou Thorburn of Agincourt. Edythe was predeceased by her brother John Thorburn , sister Vera Paul and her parents George and Mary (Fenwick) Thorburn.

As per Edythe’s request, cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will be held at the Chesley Cemetery.

Memorial donations to the Chesley Hospital Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.

Stewart, TomSTEWART, Thomas Russel “Tom” – Passed away suddenly on Thursday, June 19, 2014 in his 81st year, after attending a retirement party near Milton, ON.  During his years as a long distance truck driver, Tom acquired many, many friends and acquaintances all over North America.  He was the last surviving member of his family.  Tom was an avid collector of everything old, odd and unique.  Cars, trucks,  tractors, toys and various other items of interest to many.  As a known authority on vintage autos, and a member of almost every vintage collectable club, he was often asked to provide information to hobbyists with similar interests.  For more than 50 years, Tom’s red, 1909 Ford Model “T” was a familiar sight in Woodstock’s Victoria Day parade. Friends will be received at Old St. Paul’s Anglican Church, 723 Dundas Street, Woodstock on Friday, June 27, 2014 from 12 noon until 12:45 p.m.  A complete funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with Archdeacon Richard A. Mowat, Farley McGill
Born in Belleville, Ontario on May 12th, 1921. Died May 6th, 2014 at The Northumberlad Hills Hospital, Cobourg, Ontario. Beloved husband and best friend of Claire (nee Wheeler) for 48 years. Cherished father of Sandy and his wife Kim of Palgrave, Ontario and David and his family of Calgary, Alberta. Loving grandfather of Justin Mowat of Palgrave and Courtney and, Mellissa Mowat of Calgary. Brother of Rosemary Mowat of Barrie, and John and his wife Dianne of Cobourg. Special uncle to Brian, Jeff, and Matthew Mowat. Predeceased by his parents Angus and Helen Mowat and by his first wife Frances Thornhill.
Farley Mowat was a member of the Order of Canada and the recipient of nine Honorary Doctorates. He was the author of 42 books, a writing career that spanned 63 years. His books are read around the world and have been translated into 26 languages. He will be greatly missed by his family and by many friends in many places.
A private family funeral will be held in Port Hope on a later date.
