John Clement Fisher passed away at home on July 23, 2014, at age 88. Caring husband of Gladys Fisher (2009). Dear father of Pam Fisher and husband Chris Thorpe, Paris, Ontario and Pat and husband Terry McLaughlin, Leamington. Cherished grandfather to Carolyn, Tristan and Eva Thorpe. Clement will be missed by his brother-in law James Alexander and sister-in-law Eileen of Glammis, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by his parents, Mence and Eliza Fisher, his sister Agnes Fisher (2012), brother-in-laws Murray Alexander (2009), Ron Alexander (1991) and sister-in-law, Anne Alexander (2014). Clement was born in Strathroy and remained involved in the Caradoc farming community. He graduated in 1951 from the Ontario Agriculture College (OAC), and worked in Chatham and Harrow with Agriculture Canada between 1951-55. Clement was a business partner with Bowman and Carson Ltd. in Leamington (1955-71) and was a farm radio broadcaster (1955-60). He also worked with the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Food as a greenhouse vegetable specialist 1971-90. After retirement Clement enjoyed music, golf, travel and spending time with family and friends. He was an active member of the Canadian Chestnut Council.  With respect for Clement’s wishes cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 27th from 2 to 4 p.m. at the C. Stuart Sykes Funeral Home, 91 Division St. S. Kingsville and a memorial funeral service in the funeral home on Monday, July 28th at 12:00 Noon. Interment at a later date at Purdy Cemetery, Bruce County.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be to: Leamington Hospital Foundation, the Leamington Hospital Foundation (Hospice) or the charity of your choice.  Condolences may be left at
