It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Dolores Bernice Fischer at London Health Sciences Centre – Victoria Hospital, with her loving family by her side. Beloved wife and best friend of James Fischer. Loving mother of Jeffery Cousineau (Maria), James Cousineau (Karen), Tracey Smith (Kevin), Charlyn Fischer and Michael Fischer (Kerri-Lynn). Cherished grandmother of Tyler, Michael, Mariah, Dustin, Zyler, Kyle, Kurt, Jessica, Taylor, Taya and Tristen. Dear sister of Dianne Hudson (Dave), Debbie McCormick (Jerry), Linda Weerse (Al) and Bev Somerville (Bob). Aunt Loulou is survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Clifton and Phyllis Smith. Dolores worked for Sarnia Transit for more than 30 years, where she made many friends and developed her love of union politics. She belonged to the Brigden Fair Board and volunteered for numerous other organizations, and also loved to play bingo. Special thanks to Bluewater Health for their valiant effort to stabilize Dolores for her transfer to LHSC – Victoria Campus, London.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, April 10, 2012, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at Smith Funeral Home, Sarnia. The interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery.
