Finnigan WebSuddenly in British Columbia on Thursday, January 30th, 2014, in his 46th year.  Beloved father of Sean and Tess.  Craig’s children were his deepest source of joy and love:  he had so many plans for them!  Left with a lifetime of memories are his devoted mother Jean Pratt and his cherished brother Ross Finnigan.  Sadly missed by many relatives, friends and colleagues.  Predeceased by his father Terry Finnigan.  Craig loved life and lived it to the fullest.  He enjoyed music, hockey, all things outdoors, and was a wonderful cook.  After receiving Bachelor and Masters degrees from the University of Western Ontario, Craig earned his Ph.D. in Geology at the University of Toronto.  His work as an exploration geologist in gold, platinum and nickel discovery projects (in Alaska, Nevada, Wyoming, Labrador, Ontario, the Northwest Territories and, most recently, the Yukon) was honoured when, in January 2014, he was named co-recipient of the prestigious H.H. “Spud” Huestis award for excellence in Mineral Exploration and Prospecting.  Memorial visitation will be held at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Friday, February 14th, 2014 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.  Online condolences may be made at
