Ferris David Paper new copyOriginally from Leamington, peacefully at Westmount Gardens, London, on Friday October 3rd, 2014 in his 59th year. Beloved cousin of Mac and Sue Hyatt and family; survived by many other cousins. Remembered by dear friends Daniel, Shelley, Jeffrey and Philip Wybo, along with many more who had experienced his innately gregarious nature. Predeceased by his father, George (1964) and his mother Lois (Watson)(2001) and his uncle Dr. Lorne Watson (2010). David graduated from Huron College, University of Western Ontario, in 1977, with a Bachelor of Arts in History. He was an active member of the Huron College History Club and an avid snooker player, known to spend many hours at the on-campus snooker facility. He later studied at Fanshawe College where he auctioned off a signed stick belonging to the captain of the Toronto Maple Leafs, Darryl Sittler, as part of a college fund raiser. He enjoyed watching the Leafs, and just about any other sports event. He spent many years as a soccer official, always working to expand his knowledge of the beautiful game. His insurance career started as a registered insurance broker, then followed as an underwriter with the General Accident. Later he became an Inspector with Sentinel, and finally joined Economical Insurance as a Property Inspector. Visitation will be held at the Reid Funeral Home,14 Russell Street, Leamington, on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 from 10-11a.m. followed by a service of remembrance officiated by Rev. Paul Rodey. Burial will take place at Lakeview Cemetery, Leamington. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke and Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
