With much sadness and broken hearts we announce the passing of our beautiful son on May 12th, 2013. Loving husband to Chantelle and devoted father to Caitlyn, Colton and Robbie Jr III. Loving son of Deborah and Victor Robin Anber. Loving brother to Natasha Anber Dionne (late David Dionne), Alexandrea Anber (Terrance Lumadue). Precious grandson to Ilse Peisley and the late James Peisley, Edward Anber, and Pamela Gareau. Loving nephew to many aunts and uncles and cousin to so many. Robbie’s love for his wife and children is his legacy, and his love for his family will keep us strong. Robbie was a social butterfly and with his unforgettable sense of humour, he was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Robbie worked at K & H fireworks his entire life. He shared the love of fireworks along with his Dad. There is an empty space at K & H fireworks and from his friends throughout the whole fireworks industry there will forever be a void. We love and miss you deeply and you will always be etched in our hearts. Visiting for Robbie is at is WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Banwell Chapel) 253-7234 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Wednesday, May 15th, 2013 from 12-2pm and 3-5pm. Cremation to follow. Online condolences may be shared at www.windsorchapel.com.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Laurie Anne Philips at
her home in Midland on May 9. Born in Sioux Lookout, Ontario, Laurie is survived
by her parents John and Carol Philips of Midland, brother Andrew (Lise Turcotte)
of Midland, nieces Josee, Carmelle and Mathilde Philips, many other relatives at
home and abroad and her loving Auntie Do Philips of Toronto. She was predeceased
by her brother Christian and her loving grandparents Rich and Dorothy Philips of
Brockville and Jack and Margaret Dowell of Brockville.
Following high school
in Midland and Elmvale, Laurie went to Georgian College where she learned her
craft of stained glass and jewelry making. A strong believer in the Family of
Man, Laurie made friends easily and had lifetime friends both locally and far
away. She also had a great love of music and movies and would entertain friends
and family with remembered musical moments and comedy sketches. We cherished her
wonderful sense of humour, her inner gentleness, kindness and sweetness and love
of animals. Three of her closest companions were her cats Peanut, Rex and
Spencer.

Arrangements have been entrusted to LeClair Cremation Centre. A
memorial service will be held at a later date. Donations in Laurie’s memory may
be made to the Midland & District branch of the Ontario SPCA
(www.midland.ontariospca.ca)

Dad drew his last breath May 14th at home cradled in the love of his family. Proud Dad of Danielle and husband Dan Lariviere, Derek husband of the late Wendy Dorey (2008). Much loved Pépé of Allan, Ashley, Amanda, Kyle, Jordyn, and Emily. Adored great-Pépé to his buddies Joshua, AJ and Jose. A tough guy with the softest of hearts, together with Mom, Dad taught us kindness, generosity and the value of family. He will be greatly missed by his sisters, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law all who were also his friends. A playful uncle he will always be remembered with a smile by his many “rotten kids” nieces and nephews. Thank you to our family and friends who kept us company, fed and hugged during our vigil. Your kindness touched our hearts and will never be forgotten. A world of thanks to Dr. Mathews, Pam, Dr. Zajner, Dr. Cargill, Bayshore especially Sara, CCAC and all who had a hand in Dad’s care so that we could keep him in the comfort of his home. The depth of your compassion and caring was moving. Be assured that you all are where you’re suppose to be. Visiting Thursday 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Friday 11:00 a.m. at Families First 1065 Lauzon Rd. East Windsor (519-969-5841) Interment at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Share memories, photos or make a donation at www.FamiliesFirst.ca
