Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on August 26, 2018 at the age of – to use his own words – let them guess! Proud father of Paolo (Josette) Eugeni and Claudia (John) Mihalo. Loving Nonno of Sophia, Matthew, Ava, and Adam. Brother of Manlio Eugeni, Amalia Fermani (the late Luigi), the late Milvia Serafini (the late Egidio), and Tony Eugeni (Donna). Emilio will be missed by many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Emilio started from humble beginnings in Porto San Giorgio, Italy. Like so many of his friends, our dad came to Canada with the hopes of new opportunity. He was a hard worker and smart businessman. His trade as a finished carpenter served him well as he began E & E Builders in the early 1960’s. As a contractor and developer, he built many homes, apartment buildings, industrial and commercial spaces. More than anything, Emilio treasured the time he spent with his family and friends. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Hospice of Windsor & Essex County, the Windsor Essex County Cancer Centre Foundation, or Transition to Betterness. Visiting on Tuesday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. with prayers at 3:30 p.m. at Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor, 519-969-5841. On Wednesday, family and friends are invited to meet directly at St. Angela Merici Church, 980 Louis Ave., for a Celebration of Emilio’s Life at 11:00 a.m. Share memories, photos or make a donation at www.FamiliesFirst.ca
