Peacefully on Wednesday, May 1, 2013, Muriel completed her earthly journey. Born January 29, 1930 in Leamington to the late Grace (Wigle) and Dwight Kennedy. Remembered with love by children Bonnie (Brian) and Randy, Joan (David) and Debbie.  Loved and loving grandmother/great grandmother to Mark (Danielle), Stephen (Jennifer), Tara, and Harley and their children. Predeceased by beloved son Allan (2006), husband Raymond (1984) and special friend Jack Mendler (2004). Much loved by brother Leonard (Helen) Kennedy, Burlington, sisters Katharine Gourlie, Ottawa, Linda Kennedy and their families, the families of late brothers Jim Kennedy (Alice), Murray Kennedy (both deceased in 2010). Muriel worked for many years at Fox’s Dairy Bar & Hardware on Walker Rd. Muriel was also a phone volunteer with the Red Cross Blood Donor program. Special thanks to the women in the CCAC network and to Sherry, to the nurses and staff on floor Three at Rose Garden Villa and to the nurses and doctors, 7 East, 2 North and Emergency, who cared for her.  Visiting at the Reid Funeral Home & Reception Centre, 14 Russell Street, Leamington (519-326-2631) from 1 p.m. until time of the Funeral Service to celebrate Muriel’s life at 2 p.m. Private family interment at Lakeview Cemetery on Monday, May 6, 2013. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital Foundation or Windsor/Essex County Humane Society would be appreciated. Friends may share memories at www.reidfuneralhome.ca
