Oscar Harold Earle passed away peacefully in the wee hours of the morning on April 26th, 2013. He was 86 years old and passed on in the comfort of his home at Leisure World in Barrie, Ontario.
Os, as his friends called him, learned early the value of hard work, and worked just that way his entire life; to provide for his family. He enlisted in the army during the World War II. His love for his country was evident by his desire to serve.
On September 29, 1951 Os married the love of his life, Jean Vivian Mary Roberts. Together they worked side by side in developing a mobile home park and campground/resort known today as Hoe Doe Valley. Some of the activities offered at the park were pony rides, cart and hay rides, tubing, swimming, skating, fishing, and the catering of winter parties. Os had a passion for his valley, and was happiest when he had children to share it with. Together, Os and Jean raised four children and took on several extra whenever they came across a child in need. Os was dedicated to his family and was a loving husband and father who was dearly loved in return.
Os will be sadly missed by his wife Jean, sister Marie, and children: Hal, Kathy, Dan (Dawn), Darcy and their respective partners, as well as Linda, who was loved like a daughter. Also his grandchildren: Sarah, Nick, Emma, Zack, Hannah, Josh, Amber, Tyler, Ryan, Sharalee and Daniel, and by five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, if you wish, please send donations to The Alzheimer’s Association.
