It is with great sorrow that the family announces his passing at Maison Vale Hospice on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at 46 years of age, following a courageous battle with cancer. Son of André and Suzanne (née Godbout) Dumas of Sudbury. Beloved husband of Carmen Dumas (née Boulay) of Sudbury. Loving father of Éric and Sophie of Sudbury. Dear brother of Claude Dumas (Brigitte Ruest) of Val Caron. Cherished uncle of Véronique Dumas and Corinne Dumas. Predeceased by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Léo Boulay and Alexina Boulay (née Roy). Brother-in-law of Chantal Boulay of Wahnapitae. Sadly missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Pierre was first and foremost a loving husband to Carmen and a caring dad to Eric and Sophie. Pete was known for his kind and caring nature. He had a good sense of humor, a contagious smile and a positive outlook on life. He was a supervisor at Canada Post and was a great team leader. He will be forever engraved in our hearts. We wish to thank everyone who contributed to Pierre’s medical care. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Cooperative Funeral Home, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury on Friday, June 29th, 2012 from 7p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Saturday, June 30th, 2012 at L’Annonciation Church, Sudbury after 10 a.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Donations (by cheque only) to the Maison Vale Hospice or Éric and Sophie’s Trust Fund would be greatly appreciated.
