Dubé, Anna Alice “Annie” (née Robert) of Sudbury, ON
The family announces with great sorrow her passing in Sudbury on Friday, February 28th 2014 at the age of 83. Wife of the late Wesley Dubé. Daughter of the late Pierre Robert and of the late Hectorine (née Potvin) Robert. Beloved mother of Daniel of St-Catharines, Gérald (Lise) of Brampton, André of Sudbury, Francis of Sudbury and Russell (Kelly) of Clifton, New Jersey. Predeceased by an infant daughter (Suzanne Edna) in 1951. Predeceased by all of her brothers: Albert (Gabrielle), Philippe (Yolande), George (Gisèle), Russell (Anita et Louise), Donald (Huguette) et Raymond (Marielle).Survived by sisters: Aline Hardy (Lance) of Sturgeon Falls and Pauline Deschamps of Sudbury (Jean-Louis). Cherished grandmother of Roxanne, Nicolas, Patrick, Mireille, Jenève, Céleste, Wesley, Sophie and Beau. Will be remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. She was born in Cache Bay, Ontario on January 9, 1931. She attended Cambrian College to study “social studies” and then worked for 15 years with the Catholic Children Aid Society. She volunteered many years with various church committees: Funeral arrangement committee, Development & Peace committee, to name a few. She was an avid knitter and enjoyed cooking immensely for family and friends. One of her many accomplishments was writing a family autobiography book about “The Robert Family”. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury on Monday, March 3rd, 2014 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A memorial mass for Annie and her husband Wesley ( January 8th 2014) will be celebrated on May 30th 2014 10h30 am at St-Jean-de-Brebeuf Church, Sudbury. In lieu of flowers donations (by cheque only) to the Maison Vale Hospice would be appreciated.
