WEB_Drouillard_AnastasiaIt is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a truly “Grand Lady” Ann Drouillard (1914 – 2014)   passed on January 17, 2014.  Predeceased by her spouse Frederick (Rick) Drouillard, l973.  Children: David (Marty) Drouillard, predeceased by his wife Janet l999, Margaret (John) Laframboise, Douglas (Deirdre) Drouillard, Patrick Drouillard (Penny).  Predeceased by son Ronald, l969.  Ann was the daughter of Philip and Jane Ryan, from Coolderry, County Offaly, Ireland. Grandma’s cherished grandchildren are Patrick P.J. Drouillard (Courtney), Aimee Radmore (Dan), Colette Van Meekeren (Michael), Timothy DeMonte (Weiwei), Sheri LeBlanc (Joe), Anne Michelle Fernandez (Jose Luis), Renee DiPietro (Robert),  Conor, Brendan, Caitlin Drouillard, Shelly Iler (Dave), and  Margot Heaton (Chad).  Twenty three great grandchildren.  Dear aunt of Chuck and Elaine Miller, Pat Rossio and Martha Meister all living in the U.S.  Beloved sister of Delia Connolly, England.  Ita Maher, Ireland.   Many loving nieces and nephews in England and Ireland survive.  Predeceased by sisters, Winifred, Madge, Maureen, Patricia, brothers Bill, Brendan and Philip Ryan.    For our dad she was his life support and loyal wife.  For her adoring children she was our rock of strength throughout all of our lives.  For her grand and great grandchildren she was their most supportive friend.  She trained and served as a British Red Cross nurse in England during WWII, where she met our dad – a Canadian soldier.  Both came to Amherstburg to raise their family.    If you so desire,  donations to the St. John the Baptist Church Restoration Fund would be appreciated by the family. Visitation Monday 3-5pm and 7-9pm. Parish Prayers Monday 7:30pm at Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor, 519-969-5841. On Tuesday, family and friends are invited to meet at St. John the Baptist Church (225 Brock St. Amherstburg, On) after 10:00am followed by Mass at 11:00am. Burial St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
