Draper, Wallace (Dick) – passed away at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie on Monday, September 13, 2014, in his 74th year. Survived by his wife Joyce and sons; Robert (Tanya) and Steven (Cheryl), his sister Marjorie (Wilfred deceased) Herbert and brother John (Louis) Draper. Much loved son of the late Mydra Arksey and John Draper and predeceased by his sister Victereene Draper. He will be sorely missed by his grandchildren; Aidan, Ronan, Ashlinn, Colton and many family members and friends.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and sports enthusiast, he enjoyed the outdoors immensely. Dick began his work career at 17, when he struck out on his own and took a job with Northern Telecom. After he and Joyce were married in 1961, he worked for Mansfield Tire. Never being one to shy away from trying new things, his career path took him into Real Estate, Car Salesmanship, New home building and lastly the operator of Draper Coin Wash, until his passing.
In accordance with his wishes, there will not be a funeral at this time. A private family celebration of life will be organized at a later date. Donations can be made in memoriam to the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
Incredible gratitude must be given to his wife Joyce of 54 years whose immeasurable care and support following a near fatal medical issue allowed Dick to enjoy 8 more years with his family, grandchildren and friends.
