Doris JEAN Clarke, age 86, passed peacefully at Twin Lakes Terrace, Sarnia, on Wednesday, March 14, 2012; the fourteenth anniversary of the loss of her husband of 54 years, Reginald Clarke. Born in Petrolia, daughter of Mary and Maurice Font; sister to Bloss, Gord, Isabel (McDonald) and Cora (Laforet) all predeceased. Always loved and remembered by sons Paul (Ellie) of Surrey, B.C., Brian of Victoria, B.C., Grant (Karen) of London, Tim of Toronto, Bruce of Sarnia and daughters Connie (Don) Cook of Sarnia, and Carrie (Willie) Lee of Toledo, Ohio. Jean was proud of and will be greatly missed by 15 grandchildren and 7 great- grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and extended family members. Jean was a strong woman, with a clever wit, industrious and talented in a myriad of ways. Family treasures include many of her sewing, quilting and woodworking projects. Visitation at Smith Funeral Home, Friday, March 16th, 2012 from 6 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, March 17th from 12 to 1 p.m. with funeral service to follow.
