Donald Foster of Sarnia

April 10, 1952 – March 12, 2012

It is with deeply saddened hearts that we announce the passing of a dear son, brother, brother-in-law and friend.  Don was part owner, then owner, of Bob & Jack’s Auto Sales, and previously Head of Used Cars at Park Lane Motors. He first started out as Mortgage Specialist at the Permanent Trust Co.  Don helped start one of the city’s first street rod clubs, “The Sarnia Street Racers,” 40 years ago. He thoroughly enjoyed dealing with the public and made sure his customers came first. He will be greatly missed by his house-mates: Mom Lillian, brother Jim and his wife Melanie, his nieces and nephews Paige, Mitchell, Tyler and Taya, and also the furry kids of the house Tobi and Sassi (poochies) and Dudli and Brodi (cats).  Don will also be missed by his brother Tom and sisters Sharon and Dee, nieces and nephews Steve and Bri, Stacey and Don, Brent and Tiff, and Matt and Jess.  Don was predeceased by his father Norman B. Foster, sister-in-law Sue, and siblings Pam and Johnny.  Don will be sadly missed by his good friend and Sunday breakfast buddy Ted Arnold.  Don will be forever sadly missed by the staff at the Iberostar Grand Hotel Bavaro (his 2nd home), who took excellent care of him when away during his lengthy illness. Cremation has taken place, and at Don’s request, no visitation or service will be held. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia. Memories and condolences may be sent online at
