ALFRED (TED) DOHERTY It is with heavy hearts we say goodbye to Dad who passed away peacefully at home on October 26, 2014 after a long battle with COPD. A longtime resident of Beaverton, Ted was predeceased by his parents Ena and Ted Doherty and his loving wife Peanie. He is survived by his son William, daughters Vicky Bush, Kathy Gagnon and sons-in-law Stephen and Rene. He was “Bumpa” to six grandchildren and three great- grandchildren and sisters-in- law Betty Arcangeli (Ron) and Margo Booth (Ron). His brothers- in-law loved to call him “the Dork”. AJ graduated from Upper Canada College and worked for Mine Safety Appliances in Toronto and Vancouver where he still has many friends. A fine golfer, Ted was happiest at Cedarhurst Golf Club with his “Monday Morning Men” and would gladly mentor anyone he could. We are forever grateful to the nurses from Partners in Community Nursing, Dr. Gerry Laudanski, Francis Henke and especially the care and help of Laurie Watling. A private memorial will be held in Ted’s honour. Donations made to the Canadian Lung Association would be appreciated.
