Juraj “Duri” (George) Dobransky, 60, of London ON, passed away on May 15, 2017, at University Hospital, London with his beloved family at his side. Husband of Joyce for 26 years, father of Dustin, Loren and Digby. He is survived by his father Tomas Dobransky of Slovakia and his brother Tomas Dobransky and his wife Simona of London. Predeceased by his mother Zuzana Dobranska. Duri (George) was born in 1957 in Presov, Czechoslovakia, graduated from the University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy in Kosice, in 1982. He escaped the communistic Czechoslovakia in 1987, and immigrated to London in 1989. He married Joyce Dekker in 1990, one year after meeting her as his English teacher. Duri (George) was an avid skier, hiker, adventurer, world traveler and reader. He was known for his tremendous generosity, caring heart, brilliant mind, story-telling talent and his deep love for his family, friends, and nature. He was loved by many relatives and friends around the world. Friends will be received for visiting on Friday, May 19, 2017 from 1:00 – 3:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Talbot Street Church, 513 Talbot Street, London, ON. A Celebration of Life will be held at the church on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 1:00 pm. Donations in the memory of Duri (George) may be made to Boler Mountain, P.O.
