Anna Dickert, of Hanover, passed away peacefully at The Village Senior’s Community, Hanover on Saturday, November 30, 2013, in her 98th year.
Born in Ayton, daughter of the late George and Cora (Miller) Sachs. Anna was employed at Densmore Nursing Home and Saugeen Villa Nursing Home until retiring.
Survived by children Ruby (David) Doering of New Hamburg, Joan (Chris) Fischer of Guelph, Nelson Jr. (Ruth) Dickert of Ingersoll, Joyce (Allan) Wilson of Fort Erie, Warren (Deborah) Dickert of Hanover, twelve grandchildren and twenty-three greatgrandchildren. Also survived by sisters-in-law Clarice Sachs of Orillia, Doreen Sachs of Ayton and a brother-in-law George Shaw of Cambridge. Predeceased by husband Nelson Dickert, a daughter in infancy, a granddaughter, a great grandson, three brothers Carl, Arthur and Bruce Sachs and six sisters Irene Munn, Margaret Snider, Helen Cook, Ruth Haase, Lorna Waldo and Pauline Shaw.
Visitation was held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, December 04, 2013 at 11:00 am, at First St. Matthew’s LutheranChurch. Rev. Robert Clifford officiated.
Spring Interment in St. James Lutheran Cemetery, Lauderbach.
Memorial donations to the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation or to First St. Matthew’s LutheranChurch were appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
