Peacefully in her 80th year, surrounded by her loving family, Christine (Kisten) passed away on May 27th.

Christine was born in Blind River, Ontario on July 12th, 1937. It was there that she met her husband Carmen from Niagara Falls, Ontario, and started a family at the age of 18. Christine developed a passion for culinary arts and hairdressing, having owned her own salon in Winona, Ontario. Christine took great pride in dedicating her life to family, raising her 4 amazing children, Christine, Mark, Pete (Donna) and Patrick (Veronica). She also was a cherished Grandma to 3 grand-children Andrea (David), Sean and Zachary, and 4 great grand-children Joshua, Brooke, Nolan and Avery. She is survived by 3 sisters and 1 brother.

Christine had a true zest for life. She displayed great kindness and touched the lives of many. She was an accomplished spoons player; a great home chef; enjoyed anything Irish having never missed a St. Patrick’s Day; loved hearing her sons play guitars and sing; and enjoyed spending time the most with her family at the trailer, cottages and vacations in the USA.

Christine will be sadly missed by all, but we know she will be waiting for us to meet again one day in Heaven.

Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be conducted. Special thanks to the staff at Hamilton General Hospital and especially the Carpenter Hospice in Burlington, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Carpenter Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
